That's what it's all about:
The large number of networks on sector- or cross-section-orientated topics in the Augsburg economic region offers every entrepreneur the opportunity to make interesting contacts.
He has just snatched away a lucrative order - not every entrepreneur has the nerve to co-operate with a direct competitor in such a situation. The innovative corporate networks in the A3 region show why it can still be worthwhile. There is no shortage of offers: there are around 143 networks on a wide variety of topics in the business location Augsburg alone. Entrepreneurs who participate in networks and make them successful are not only interested in their own company, but also in advancing the entire industry - and thus successfully helping to shape the economic development of the A³ region.
From aerospace to property expert networks
A total of around 55 line of business networks in the region offer the opportunity for thematic exchange: for example, the Mechatronics & Automation Cluster, bavAIRia e.V., the Resource Efficiency Platform and the Augsburg Marketing Club. For local property companies, the Aktivkreis Immobilien provides a joint communication and cooperation platform. Managed by Regio Augsburg Wirtschaft GmbH, the network is the driving force and lobby for the property sector in the A³ region. Numerous projects, such as the A³ Real Estate Congress, are organised and promote the networking of the real estate industry in the Augsburg economic region.
This is how the project makes the future better:
Close cooperation between many players to further advance sectors and specific topics.
In order to publicise the opportunities offered by timber construction and to promote the use of wood as a building material in the region, Augsburg timber construction companies have joined forces in the Timber Construction Network on the initiative of Regio Augsburg Wirtschaft GmbH. With the highest density of large timber construction companies in the whole of Bavaria, the region is one of the top regions for expertise in timber construction. The network aims to attract architects, planners and local authorities to timber as a building material and to provide information and advice on the subject of timber and timber construction.
The TEA network
It's not just your own industry associations that are interesting. Networks that co-operate across the value chain or pursue common, special topics with other companies or research partners are ideal for innovative thinking outside the box. Here too, the A³ region is characterised by a large number of specialised offers for special target groups and topics: The personnel decision-maker network, the Federal Association of Young Entrepreneurs or the women-together network are examples of cross-sectional co-operation. In addition, technology networks and clusters link science and business and offer access to the latest technologies and innovations.
Still unique in Germany: the TEA network, which encompasses all research institutions in a region. Thanks to the dynamic development of research institutions in A³, the number of network partners has continued to grow over the last few years. Today, as in the past, it offers companies reliable, uncomplicated and practice-orientated access to the expertise of local universities and research institutes, giving them an innovative edge over the competition. At the annual technology transfer congress, the initiated co-operations and technology solutions can be marvelled at.
Special feature of the project:
Business-related networks are systematically visualised and communicated by the regional economic development agency.
Building blocks for a strong region
Shaping the economic future of A³ hand in hand - this is also the goal of the business network of Regio Augsburg Wirtschaft GmbH. The A³ Förderverein brings together local companies of all sizes and from all sectors who work together to promote the economy and develop the location. This opens doors, brings people together and initiates projects. Not only projects of the regional business development organisation are supported. Partners of the association also receive support - for example the International School Augsburg, the Wirtschaftsjunioren, the Medienforum Augsburg or projects of the Augsburg Innovation Park.
The examples presented here show what the players in the A³ region have already achieved and where the journey is heading - towards a more sustainable, better future in a strong business location.
